About the role
A growing specialty materials manufacturer is seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations at its Louisville facility. This individual will be responsible for inventory accuracy, material flow, shipping and receiving, warehouse organization, safety, and team performance. The Warehouse Manager will partner closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics to improve efficiency and support customer requirements. This is a warehouse management position within a manufacturing operation. Candidates must have previous warehouse leadership experience and a bachelor’s degree.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material flow, and shipping, while developing a high-performing team. Maintain inventory accuracy of 99.5% or higher through disciplined cycle counting, variance resolution, lot and batch traceability, and effective ERP or WMS utilization. Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow to improve productivity, reduce damage and waste, and shorten order cycle times. Ensure finished products are properly released, documented, staged, and shipped while achieving on-time inbound and outbound performance of 98% or higher. Develop and implement SOPs, standard work, and Lean process improvements that strengthen operational consistency and efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, environmental, safety, and quality requirements while partnering with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and Supply Chain.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field required Three or more years of warehouse management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong inventory control, cycle counting, and variance-resolution experience Experience with lot and batch traceability Proficiency with ERP or WMS systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel Knowledge of LeanOSHA requirements and material-handling practices
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and GMP requirements Bilingual English and Spanish skills
