Job Title: Senior Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities: Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timer modules Profile and optimize code for performance, power consumption, and memory constraints Work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers (SWD, JTAG), and embedded testing frameworks to validate firmware functionality
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire; U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of work Experience with designing and implementing firmware for autonomous undersea systems or similar complex projects Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead design teams Knowledge of R&D processes, with a focus on innovation and applying AI for continuous improvement System One not only serves as a valued partner for our clients, but we offer eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, as well as participation in a 401(k) plan.
