About the role
- Sort and organize cargo; prepare freight for shipment
- Load and unload aircraft between turns
- Transport freight between aircraft and designated facilities
- Operate ground equipment (cargo loaders, lift trucks, ramp tractors)
- Assist with aircraft marshaling and securing
- Support additional tasks required for flight preparation
- Ensure the safety of aircraft, cargo, equipment, and personnel at all times
- Skills & Competencies
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Safety-focused with sound judgment under pressure
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Tech-savvy with data entry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of FAA and TSA regulations (or willingness to learn)
- Additional language skills are a plus
- Must have the flexibility to work very early morning shifts (5:30am) including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment screenings including a drug test and FAA criminal background test
- Minimum 1 year Freight or Warehouse experience
- Full-time position based at Makers Air FXE.Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items as needed.
