Job Description: Job DescriptionHandling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conducttests reporting findings to a laboratory Director. Candidate will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will bepassionate for doing work that makes things move forward. Responsibilities include receiving and verifying samples, labeling andpreparing specimens according to its purpose, updating databases, disposingof waste properly, and examining samples for any contamination. The Laboratory Technician works under limited supervision of moreexperienced technical personnel. Able to do limited independent research of basic principles. Execute Tests as Defined by Supervisor. Report Results in A Clear and Concise Manner as Defined by Supervisor. Meticulously Document Data in Laboratory Notebook and Written Reports. Follow Established Test Methods Especially PCR and RT_PCR, Sops, And SafeLab Practices and Troubleshoot/Make Suggestions When Necessary. Make Conclusions and Suggestions for Next Steps, Including Identifying AnyDiscrepancies in Data. Appropriately Prioritize Workload Based on Input for Supervisor. Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) withaccuracy and responsibility. Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies. Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain aclean and orderly environment.
