Position Summary:
The Child Care PRN Assistant provides flexible, on-call support in the classroom and activity areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can step in seamlessly when additional coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers and staff with daily classroom activities
- Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Support learning activities, playtime, and structured programs
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding daily routines and needs
- Follow all safety, health, and licensing guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children (daycare, preschool, church nursery, camp, etc.) preferredCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to be flexible and available on short notice
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, energetic, and dependable
