Job Description: Job Description Tornado Bus Company and El Expreso Bus Company is looking for Diesel Mechanics. Responsible for performing thorough inspections and related repair on motor coaches. Transporting buses to external shops. This particular position requires to rescue buses from other locations. Must always be in compliance with FMCSA regulations. JOB RESPONSABILITIES:Routine servicing and overhauling of all diesel or gas engines Inspecting the engines and detecting technical malfunctions Specializing in repairing and maintaining parts of engine, such as fuel injections systems, emission controls systems, and timing systems. Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differential units. Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment and diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels. Diagnosing "check engine light" fault codes, aftertreatment engine system, engine misfires, and A/C electrical system Recondition and replace parts, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves Skilled in diagnosing major electrical and engine components, performing repairs as needed Follow safety standards per FMCSA regulations to remain in compliance Fuel and wash buses when required Road test buses to detect malfunctions Transport units to external locations or pick up Move vehicles within property limits, contigent to safety training Rescue buses Other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years of job-related experience EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training beyond high school LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS: CDL Diesel Technical Certification ASE Certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Heavy - Exerting 60-100 lbs. occasionally, 25-60 lbs. frequently, or up to 10-20 constantly.
