About the role
Rehabilitation Therapy AideLegend Healthcare and Rehabilitation - Greenville Come join our team and start making a difference! The Rehabilitation Therapy Aide is responsible for assisting the Therapists and Therapists Assistants by providing rehabilitative support to the therapy program and to patients following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services and may also be supervised by a Physical/Occupational and/or Speech Therapist.
Responsibilities include:
Securing passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips.
Assisting disabled and/or elderly residents in and out of vehicles and buildings and doctor's offices when appropriate.
Assisting all departments in the delivery and pick-up of other related work items, i.e., x-rays, pharmaceuticals, medical records, mail drop off, etc., while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Cleaning and servicing the vehicle.
Reporting all vehicle repairs, and/or any unsafe or hazardous situations immediately to the supervisor.
Remaining flexible and available for special occasions and special schedules.
Using tact and understanding with facility personnel, residents, family members, and outside community contacts.
