Job Title:
Contract Beautician/BarberEmployer: Logansport State HospitalServices to provide: Haircuts, permanents, S-Curl, relaxers, color, sets and beard trimming for patientsReport to: Rehabilitation DirectorLicense Requirement: Must maintain a current beautician licenseWork Hours: Up to 18.75 hours per week as needed/scheduledRecord Keeping: Required to prepare a daily record of time and services renderedTools: May utilize hair cutting/care instruments and products provided by the hospitalSanitation: Must follow all hospital sanitation proceduresPatient Escort: May need to escort patients to/from their home units and provide hair cutting services on the unitInventory Maintenance: Work with hospital staff to maintain and order suppliesOrientation Requirement: Includes Bridge Building, CPR and other selected topics as per hospital orientation schedule. Annual refresher courses and computer courses for hospital required trainings also requiredPay: $20.00 per haircut, $10.00 per beard care, $35.00 per chemical process, $17.00 per hour for bridge building/CPR trainingSkills Required: Valid Indiana beautician license, CPR Certification (highly desired), Prior experience working in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or residential facility (highly desired).
