Description: Children’s Orthopaedic and Scoliosis Surgery Associates, LLP (COSSA) is a highly respected, physician-owned pediatric orthopaedic group with six fellowship-trained surgeons serving Florida’s West Central region. With offices inSt. Petersburg, Tampa, and Lakewood Ranch, COSSA is the exclusive pediatric orthopaedic partner ofJohns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, a nationally ranked children’s hospital. We are recruiting aGeneral Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with a strong interest in sports medicineto join our established Tampa Bay practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a sports-minded pediatric orthopaedist to build a high-volume clinical and surgical practice within a collaborative, well-established group.

Ideal Candidate: We seek afellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeonwho enjoys caring foractive children and adolescent athletesand values a generalist practice model. Subspecialty interests insports medicine, hip preservation, foot & ankle, or traumaare welcome, but the ideal candidate is comfortable managing a wide spectrum of pediatric orthopaedic conditions and collaborating within a multispecialty group. Requirements: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of anACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency Completion of anACGME-accredited Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery fellowship Board eligible or board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery Eligible forFlorida medical licensure Eligible for hospital privileges Demonstrated ability to manage abroad spectrum of pediatric orthopaedic conditions, including fracture care and sports-related injuries Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to high-quality patient care Preferred / Desired QualificationsClinical interest or experience inpediatric and adolescent sports medicine Experience caring foryouth and adolescent athletes, including acute injuries and overuse conditions Interest in community outreach and relationship-building withlocal schools, athletic programs, and referring providers Comfort practicing within ageneral pediatric orthopaedic call model Collaborative mindset and interest in long-term partnership in a physician-owned group Professional AttributesPatient-centered approach to care Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including PAs, athletic trainers, and nursing staff Commitment to ethical practice, professionalism, and continuous improvement Interest in contributing to clinical education and mentorship within the practice
