We are hiring a skilled Typesetter to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for setting and arranging text and graphics for various printed materials such as books, newspapers, and magazines. The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail and possess strong technical skills in typography and design software.
Responsibilities:
Utilize design software to format text and images according to specific layout requirements
Collaborate with editors, writers, and graphic designers to understand project goals
Review final proofs for errors or discrepancies before printing
Ensure consistency in font styles, sizes, and spacing throughout the document
Make adjustments to layout as needed based on client feedback or design changes
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
Proficiency in typography and design software such as Adobe InDesign and QuarkXPress
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or discrepancies
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
Salary:
$1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
