Base Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year Health Coverage: Company-paid Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of workers' compensation indemnity claims from initial reporting through closure. Investigate claims and gather necessary documentation to determine compensability. Coordinate with medical providers, legal counsel, employers, and injured workers throughout the claims process. Monitor claim reserves, payments, and ongoing claim activity to ensure accuracy and compliance. Handle litigated files and collaborate with defense counsel as needed. Ensure adherence to California workers' compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Provide claim status updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders. Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in California workers' compensation claims handling. Self-Insurance Plans (SIP) certification is a significant advantage but not required; must obtain within 6 months of employment if not already certified. Experience working with public entities or school districts is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage claims through litigation and closure. Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation regulations and claims practices. Experience with self-insured or third-party administrator (TPA) environments is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload and prioritize competing deadlines. #LI-KT1
