About the role
To support a growing consultancy, the full-time Health Actuary will serve as a health actuarial consultant on client engagements, focusing on financial exams, rate filing reviews, and special studies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
Manage client engagements related to regulatory consulting and insurance industry projects
Adhere to project budgets and timelines while delivering high-quality actuarial analyses
Conduct research and special studies to support client needs and regulatory compliance
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Statistics; MBA and/or professional certifications preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant field such as insurance or consulting
Strong preference for ASA, FSA, or MAAA designations
Experience with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicare Supplement products preferred
Proficiency in actuarial concepts including health rating, underwriting, and financial modeling
