About the role
- Perform glass processing and finishing operations, including: Core drilling
- DicingLaser marking
- UnwaxingHand, semi-automatic, and automatic beveling
- Cleaning and other glass finishing processes
- Operate and assist with precision finishing and processing equipment
- Take precise physical and visual measurements using specialized tools and equipment
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
- Identify nonconforming materials and place appropriate product holds
- Escalate production delays, defects, and quality concerns to leadership
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production, quality, and schedule requirements
- Support manufacturing schedules and productivity expectations
- Perform repetitive precision tasks while maintaining consistent quality and accuracy
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic computer proficiency
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination
- Good visual acuity and ability to distinguish color and quality variations
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-registered facility
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed
- Previous experience with glass processing, glass substrate processing, or optical manufacturing
- Experience with cleaning, finishing, or product inspection
- Machine shop experience or familiarity with precision manufacturing equipment
- Experience operating dicing equipment or similar machinery
- Familiarity with subjective quality systems used in optical product inspection
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands for precision handling and detailed work
- Ability to perform repetitive motions while maintaining quality and productivity standards
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift and move light materials as needed
- Ability to work comfortably in a clean manufacturing environment
