Office Operations Associate (Temporary)
Location: Downtown Chicago - 5 days onsite
Compensation: $30/hour

Starting October 5 or October 12 for approximately 3+ monthsA high-end consulting firm is seeking a polished, professional, and highly organized Office Operations Associate to support the day-to-day operations of its downtown Chicago office. This is a hands-on, service-oriented position that plays an important role in ensuring the office is organized, welcoming, and running smoothly for employees, clients, and visitors. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys being the go-to person in an office environment and takes pride in creating a professional, well-run workplace. The successful candidate will be comfortable interacting with senior executives, clients, colleagues, vendors, and building staff while also handling the day-to-day details that keep an office functioning.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in office administration, office services, workplace operations, hospitality, facilities, or a similar professional environment. Professional and polished communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Service-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day office needs. Comfortable working onsite five days per week.
Responsibilities:
Support the daily operations and overall functionality of the office. Help ensure the office is consistently organized, welcoming, professional, and prepared for employees, clients, and visitors. Coordinate conference rooms and meeting spaces for internal and external meetings. Assist with meeting setup, catering, and other office hospitality needs. Manage incoming mail, packages, deliveries, office supplies, and inventory. Maintain office, kitchen, supply, and common areas throughout the day. Coordinate with building management, vendors, IT, and service providers as needed. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding logistics, including workspace and office access needs. Help coordinate maintenance, repairs, and other facilities-related requests. Provide responsive, professional support for employees and leadership as office needs arise. Assist with other office operations and administrative projects as needed.
