This role blends strategic account leadership with hands-on execution, driving client performance, retention, contract renewals, and revenue expansion across complex accounts. The Director is accountable for strengthening client engagement, expanding share of wallet, and ensuring language services programs deliver measurable business value while meeting performance and growth targets. Key Responsibilities Client Strategy, Performance & GrowthOwn and grow strategic client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and revenue expansionLead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), presenting performance data, insights, and growth opportunities to executive stakeholdersDevelop and execute account growth strategies, including market penetration, share of wallet, and expansion of language services solutionsBuild relationships with C-suite and senior client leaders, navigating complex, ambiguous situations to drive outcomesServe as an escalation point for client issues, resolving challenges and identifying growth opportunitiesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a team of 4-5 Strategic Account Managers / Senior Strategic Account ManagersDrive performance through goal setting, KPI tracking, and structured development (IDPs, performance plans, coaching)Upskill team members from tactical account management to more strategic, consultative client engagementConduct regular 1:1s and team meetings focused on performance, development, and client outcomesExecution & OperationsBalance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentOversee account plans and ensure consistent execution against growth, retention, and performance targetsPartner with cross-functional teams (Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, Client Support, Field Services) to deliver solutions and resolve issuesManage pricing, contract renewals, rate adjustments, and margin considerations in partnership with internal stakeholdersEnsure accurate performance tracking, reporting, and financial alignment across accountsMarket Engagement & TravelTravel (30-50%) to meet with clients, support team members, and engage in customer-facing activities to drive growthParticipate in on-site client meetings, relationship building, and business development effortsEducation & Years of Experience Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience10+ years of professional experience in account management, client management, or sales6+ years of experience in a quota-carrying or revenue growth role managing enterprise or strategic accounts4+ years of experience leading and developing individual contributor account management or sales teamsExperience working in healthcare servicesExperience managing complex client relationships and executive stakeholders (VP/C-level)Proven ability to drive revenue retention, growth, and contract renewalsExperience leading client performance discussions using data (e.g., QBRs, business reviews)Ability to operate in a highly matrixed, fast-paced, and execution-focused environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in language services or language accessExperience supporting hospital systems, healthcare providers, or enterprise healthcare clientsBackground in consultative sales or strategic account managementMaster's degree (MBA or related field)Experience with Salesforce, Workday, or enterprise CRM/financial systemsKey Skills & CompetenciesStrategic account management & revenue growthExecutive client relationship managementQuarterly business reviews (QBRs) & data-driven storytellingTeam leadership & performance coachingCross-functional collaboration & stakeholder managementFinancial acumen (pricing, margin, contract management)Ability to navigate ambiguity and complex client environmentsWork Environment / Physical RequirementsWork is performed in an office/home office environment.Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.AMN Healthcare will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of the job. Pay Rate $99,500 - $124,000 Salary Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location. This position may include additional compensation such as bonus or commission.
