Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team. This energetic role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties:
Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Repair and service diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspension, and air brake systems. Fabricate parts and components using welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications:
Proven dealership or heavy equipment repair experience with a strong mechanical background. Proficiency in fabricating parts using welding and soldering techniques. Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and farm machinery. Knowledge of OEM specifications and ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams. Skilled in automotive diagnostics, hydraulic systems, transmissions, HVAC systems, and tire service. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
