Scope of Position The Internal Resource Pool (IRP) Chaplain is responsible for the delivery of pastoral care to patients, their loved ones, and as appropriate, staff. S/he will have responsibility to ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in areas to which s/he is assigned. The IRP Chaplain will report to the Director of Pastoral Care.
Position Summary: The IRP Chaplain is available as needed for pastoral care coverage. This may include nights, weekends, and as staffing needs arise. When called, the IRP Chaplain is responsible for the delivery of pastoral care to patients, their loved ones, and as appropriate, staff. S/he will have responsibility to ensure that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in areas to which s/he is assigned. The IRP Chaplain will report to the Director of Pastoral Care.
Minimum Qualifications: Position requires a college degree, a master's level theological degree or equivalent, clinical training in chaplaincy (at least one unit of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education) ordination or commissioning for ministry by a recognized religious group, a current endorsement for chaplaincy by a recognized religious group.
