The successful candidate will be tasked with building and scaling a high-performance security function that safeguards the business, supports engineering and compliance, and minimizes operational friction. This role is pivotal in embedding security into various technical domains, driving continuous improvements in security posture, and leading the Security Operations Center (SOC) and security initiatives to align with the company's growth and innovation goals. Key responsibilities include leading a highly efficient, AI-enabled SOC, overseeing DevSecOps integration, and driving security operations such as red teaming and blue team resilience. The AVP will also be responsible for security system design, vulnerability management, and setting the vision for security strategy in collaboration with senior management. Applicants for the AVP position must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with over 15 years' experience in cybersecurity or engineering leadership, including a minimum of 5 years in SaaS cloud-native environments. A proven track record in leading security functions at an enterprise scale, deep expertise in DevSecOps, cloud-native security, and strong leadership skills are essential. The role requires a candidate with a strong technical background, including experience with CI/CD, SRE, and multi-cloud operating environments, and relevant security certifications. The ideal candidate will also have a strong ability to build relationships, be familiar with security architecture, and have experience in security design and implementation.
