Performance Manager / Performance Management Specialist
Job Summary
A Performance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring systems that improve employee and organizational performance. The role focuses on setting performance standards, tracking KPIs, conducting evaluations, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting employee development to ensure business goals are achieved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Planning & Strategy
Design and maintain performance management programs and processes
Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics
Align employee goals with organizational objectives
Support strategic workforce planning initiatives
Employee Performance Management
Coordinate employee performance reviews and appraisal cycles
Monitor employee productivity and departmental effectiveness
Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations
Create and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
Ensure fair and consistent evaluation practices across departments
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze performance data, trends, and workforce metrics
Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management
Track employee engagement, retention, and productivity levels
Recommend data-driven improvements for operational efficiency
Coaching & Development
Train managers on performance evaluation methods
Support employee learning and development programs
Provide coaching and guidance to improve individual performance
Identify skill gaps and recommend training solutions
Policy & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations
Maintain confidentiality of employee performance records
Support HR policies related to disciplinary actions and promotions
Work closely with HR, department managers, and leadership teams
Assist with succession planning and talent management strategies
Required Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of performance management systems
Report writing and data interpretation
Conflict resolution and coaching skillsTime management and organizational skills
Proficiency with HR and analytics software such as SAP SuccessFactors , Workday , and Microsoft Excel
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field
2–5+ years of experience in performance management, HR, or operations
Experience with KPI tracking and employee evaluations
HR certifications may be preferred
