About the role
Capex Project Manager Thermal Engineering International is seeking a Capex Project Manager to lead and execute capital investments that improve operational performance, safety, capacity, reliability, and infrastructure. This position manages industrial capital projects from concept and front-end planning through procurement, execution, commissioning, and closeout. The successful candidate will bring strong project-management discipline, technical and commercial judgment, and the ability to independently drive complex, cross-functional projects involving equipment suppliers, contractors, facility modifications, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and closeout, with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risk, resources, and operational impacts.
Develop project plans and verify scope and execution readiness prior to formal management approval.
Lead technical and commercial development of RFQs/RFPs, competitive bid evaluations, vendor selection, and vendor performance management.
Coordinate equipment design, site readiness, logistics, civil construction, installation, startup, acceptance testing, and commissioning.
Manage project changes, forecasts, risks, dependencies, and commitments; identify problems early, drive corrective action, and escalate when appropriate.
Lead project closeout, including punch-list completion, documentation turnover, training coordination, and final financial reconciliation.
Support five-year and annual capital planning and maintain accurate portfolio-level reporting of project status, cost, schedule, forecast, risk, and capital-spend performance. Ensure projects comply with applicable safety, regulatory, technical, contractual, and company requirements.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
