Audit Manager- CPA FirmCPA firm seeks an Audit Manager with 6 to 8 years of experience in public accounting. This individual reports directly to the firm's Managing Partner.This is a leadership role that is responsible for supervising, directing audit teams, and reviewing the audit results through the delegation of tasks throughout the planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of an audit engagement. Responsibility includes presentation of audit reports and findings to client's governing body.Provide training to audit staff training sessions & on-the-job training. The individual we are seeking should be dedicated to the future of the firm and take a leadership role in growing the audit practice. This position requires a person that will be a long term value to the firm.Travel:Overnight travel is minimal.Requirements:CPA designation required.Permits to practice in Missouri and Kansas (or qualified to obtain)At least 6 years public accounting experienceWorking knowledge of Professional StandardsSound GAAP and GAAS knowledgeFamiliarity with GASB reportingSingle Audit experiencePrevious experience with audits of not-for-profit and governmental entities a plus.Experience working in a paperless environment a plus.Excellent computer skillsOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPossess proven solid verbal and written communication skillsPossess executive presence need to be able to be primary contact for the client, prepare and presentpresentations to clients and potential clients.Possess solid decision-making skills.Able to research and resolve complex accounting issues.Able to be responsible for business development and marketing.Able to be responsible for engagement profitability including budgets, billings and collections.
