Job Description
Pay: $17.75 per hour.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, Texas, where we provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping detainees gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.
What you'll do: Perform a variety of clerical and postal duties.
Essential functions:
- Process all incoming and outgoing detainee correspondence, prepare forms, and maintain records and files related to detainee correspondence.
- Sort, open, inspect and scan detainee correspondence. Maintain related records. Deliver detainee mail.
- Act as authorized courier for receipt of registered, special delivery or other mail received for employees and/or detainees.
- Sort departmental mail and provide information and responses to inquiries regarding routine mailroom procedures.
- Maintain contact with US Postal Service personnel and private mail carriers (i.e., UPS, Federal Express, etc.). Operate postal equipment and ascertain postage needed.
- Requires regular pushing and pulling of mail carts and long periods of walking and standing.
- Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and (1) year related experience required.
- Must successfully complete required pre-service training.
- A valid driver license in Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
