About the role
Inventory Control Specialist Inventory Control Specialist oversees the receiving, storing, and distributing processes of an organization's products and supplies. Their main duties include controlling the flow of supplies, tracking and analyzing inventory levels, and developing protocols for loss mitigation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains company database of items purchased and Finished Goods
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly physical counts
- Keeps Physical Counts documentation in company shared drive
- Adjusts inventory after receiving approval from Accounting Department
- Responsible for the organization and location of Goods (Purchased & Finished Product) & label shelves
- Reconciles actual stock count to computer generated reports
- Investigaes and determines the root cause of inventory discrepancies
- Receives and unpacks and delivers goods to Production & Blending Department
- Re-Stocks items (consumables) and coordinates Purchase Order with Purchase Department
- Inspects shipments for accuracy and completeness and place goods in designated locations around the site
- Process and/or approves invoices for consumables and submits to the Purchase Department
- Upon report of Return Material, candidate to assist in coordinating QC approval and shipment back to customers
- Plant inconsistencies will be reported directly to upper management (including but not limited to Production Manager, Warehouse Managers, Controller, Purchase Department, Vice-President and CEO)
Job Skills Requirements:
- 2-years college studies desirable2-year experience performing Inventory DutiesWINDOWS Office computer skills (Outlook, Excel a must)
- Strong mathematical skills a must
- Knowledge of Production Process Flow
- Willingness to handle chemicals (mainly closed containers)
- In the event of spill of a received chemical, ability to assist Health & Safety Manager
- Hi-lo Truck / Forklift certification desirable
- Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds
Work is normally performed on the Production Floor, Warehouse Buildings, Storage units, and Main Office.
Ability to work autonomously (self-starter)
Flexibility to work with other teams
Willingness to work weekends upon request
