Fontaine Modification is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Vocational Sales Manager to drive new business growth and strengthen key relationships across our body company, dealer, OEM, equipment provider, and end-customer networks. Serving as the strategic "face to the customer," this role is pivotal in identifying client pain points, translating operational needs into value-added solutions, and delivering best-in-class service to secure long-term partnerships. The Vocational Sales Manager will actively manage account pipelines, execute strategic pricing and growth plans, and collaborate closely with internal engineering, operations, and business unit leadership to ensure accurate, profitable deliverables. Additionally, this role gathers critical market intelligence and Voice of the Customer insights—representing Fontaine at industry trade shows and events—to shape future business strategies and maintain our position as an industry leader.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Transportation, orrelated field preferred.• 7+ years of successful sales or business development experience within thecommercial vehicle, vocational truck, truck equipment, body builder, fleet, OEM, or transportation industries.• Deep knowledge of Class 6-8 vocational truck markets, including Utility, Refuse, Municipal, Fire & Emergency, Construction, and Specialty Service applications.• Existing relationships with major vocational organizations / body builders• Experience selling engineered solutions, post-production modifications, orspecialty vehicle integrations.• Demonstrated success growing revenue through strategic accountmanagement, market development, and consultative selling.• Ability to identify customer requirements and collaborate with engineeringand operations teams to develop customized technical solutions.• Strong understanding of OEM chassis platforms, body builder operations, truck specifications, and vehicle integration processes.• Proven ability to influence specifications, develop executive relationships, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.• Willingness to travel approximately 50-70% across North America. This is a full-time, remote position with up to 70% travel required to engage key accounts and represent Fontaine at industry events. To Apply Please respond with a cover letter and resume.
