About the role

One of the world's largest fixed-income managers, investing heavily in modernizing its middle-office technology. This is a greenfield engineering effort at a firm managing around $2 trillion in assets. You are working on a genuinely hard problem: building a real-time view of positions and P&L across bonds, derivatives, and private loans, each with its own pricing logic and its own complexity. That is not a maintenance project. That is real engineering at scale. The private credit book is growing fast, and that growth is exactly why this rebuild is happening now. You are not patching legacy systems. You are architecting something designed to last, using modern cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI coding tools as part of your everyday workflow. You will work across the full stack of middle office data. Positions, transactions, P&L, performance. You will build data-intensive, cloud-ready applications that can handle the volume and complexity this book demands. You will use Kafka, REST APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, AWS, Snowflake, and tools like Claude or Copilot to move faster and build better. This is a hybrid role based with one of the deepest fixed-income teams in the world. They specialize across global credit, derivatives, asset-backed finance, real estate, and corporate credit. Compensation is $110,000 to $230,000 depending on where you sit in your career, plus bonus. You bring solid Java, strong fundamentals in OOP and design patterns, and comfort in fast-paced environments where the problems are real and the stakes are high. Ready to build something that actually matters? Get in touch. No up-to-date CV required.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
