Job Description: Pacific West Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable California Certified Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. We specialize in commercial electrical work and Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) for schools, healthcare facilities, government buildings, and commercial projects throughout California's Central Valley. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated electrician with strong commercial experience who takes pride in producing quality work, works safely, and enjoys solving problems in the field.
Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. Read blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams to execute jobs efficiently. Run conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC), pull wire, set panels, and terminate connections. Perform Title 24 lighting control wiring and Commissioning compliance checks. Supervise and mentor Apprentice Electricians on site, ensuring work quality and strict adherence to OSHA regulations. Coordinate directly with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
Qualifications & Requirements: Active Certification: Valid State of California General Electrician Certification issued by the DIR/DIR-DAS (Active Certification Card required).
Experience: Minimum 4–5+ years of hands-on field experience. Code Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and California Electrical Code (CEC)
Drivers License: Valid CA Driver's License with a clean DMV driving record.
Tools: Must own a standard set of hand tools appropriate for a journeyman wireman. Safety: Deep commitment to job site safety and mandatory PPE compliance.
