Reporting to: SVP & Head – Presales Role & responsibilities: Lead customer discovery workshops and factory assessments to identify operational challenges, improvement opportunities, and potential digital transformation initiatives. Act as the Manufacturing SME during presales engagements, customer workshops, solution discussions, and executive presentations. Engage with plant leadership, engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality teams to understand business priorities, pain points, and shop-floor requirements. Assess manufacturing processes, automation systems, and shop-floor operations to identify opportunities for productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency improvements. Translate manufacturing challenges into scalable solution roadmaps, working closely with Solution Architects and technical teams. Define and shape Industry 4.0 use cases including OEE, Predictive Maintenance, Digital Twin, Energy Management, Quality Analytics, and Production Monitoring. Advise customers on relevant manufacturing technologies and platforms, including ERP, MES, SCADA, PLCs, Historians, Industrial IoT, and industrial data platforms. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Consulting, and Delivery teams to design practical, customer-centric manufacturing solutions. Develop reusable consulting frameworks, assessment methodologies, and industry accelerators to strengthen manufacturing consulting and presales capabilities. Represent the organization in customer meetings, manufacturing forums, and industry events, while keeping up to date with emerging manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 trends. Candidate requirements: 8–12 years of experience in manufacturing operations, manufacturing consulting, plant automation, Industry 4.0, or digital manufacturing. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and plant operations across industries such as Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Consumer Goods, Metals, or Process Manufacturing. Hands-on understanding of MES, ERP, SCADA, PLCs, CMMS, Historians, and Industrial IoT platforms, with the ability to connect these technologies to business and operational needs. Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Digital Manufacturing, Manufacturing Intelligence, and Connected Factory initiatives. Experience in customer discovery, factory assessments, consulting, presales, solution consulting, or manufacturing digital transformation. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or Operational Excellence is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate manufacturing challenges into technology solutions. Willingness to travel 40–60% across customer manufacturing facilities in North America. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
