About the Role:
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its nationally-recognized, accredited museum with a strong focus on STEM education and interactive science learning. The successful candidate will be a thoughtful, dynamic, and mission-driven leader, responsible for providing visionary and strategic leadership to guide the organization's growth, relevance, visibility, and impact. This role involves developing and implementing a new strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Trustees and staff, with a focus on advancing the museum's mission, expanding philanthropic support, and deepening community engagement. The CEO will also oversee financial and operational aspects, including revenue development, quality of facilities and services, and leading efforts for process improvements and performance enhancements. The ideal CEO will build on the museum's 47-year history and 14 years of success and expansion, ensuring the financial health of the institution and its newly launched immersive attraction. This includes refining the value proposition to attract investment and expand giving capacity. The role requires a leader who can guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact, particularly in the development of a new gallery plan that enhances the visitor experience and maintains a dynamic learning environment.
