About the Role:
Faithful Friends Pet Crematory is looking for a dedicated and compassionate staff member to join our team in Warren, RI. This is a meaningful role where you will play an essential part in providing dignified, respectful care during one of life's most important moments. Responsibilities:
Perform cremation procedures in accordance with state regulations and industry standards
Maintain accurate documentation and chain-of-custody records for all cremation cases
Ensure proper identification and handling of deceased individuals throughout the cremation process
Operate and maintain cremation equipment, assisting with routine inspections and cleaning
Process cremated remains and prepare them for return to families in a respectful manner
Coordinate with pet families to ensure timely and accurate completion of cremation services
Adhere to all OSHA, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements
Meet with families bringing pets into our care
Answering phones
Requirements:
Prior experience in a crematory, funeral home, or mortuary setting preferred
Crematory operator certification or willingness to obtain licensure in Rhode Island
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
Physical ability to lift and move deceased individuals and pets with proper equipment
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
Respectful demeanor and a genuine desire to serve grieving families
Good telephone skills
