About the role

Ami Operator Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for an AMI Operator for our client in New Baltimore, MI. This is a 2nd shift contract to hire opportunity.
Shift: 3pm to 11pm Monday through Friday (overtime based upon production needs)
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour and a shift premium of $0.75.
Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of hoppers as needed
  • Sort rejects and retest parts
  • Weigh and seal boxes
  • Material handling/pull material for changeovers
  • Perform final audits, initiate work instructions & ensures changeovers are done
  • Dock audit sign offs
  • Enter work orders
  • Verify test parts and poke-yokes
  • Understand build schedule supplied by materials
  • Small level of repair/machine adjustments
  • Maintain process books, log sheet and one point lessons
  • Enters data on computer system throughout shift
  • Any and all other duties assigned

Education and Experience: Requirements High school diploma or equivalent experience Ability to use measuring devices Computer literate preferred Licensing or Special Certification Requirements NonePhysical Requirements Standing, walking, repeated bending Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs Use of hands and legs Speak clearly, oral communication Ability for rapid manual/muscular coordination simultaneously involving wrist/hands/fingers Vision: depth perception and distinguish basic colors
Working Conditions:
  • Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
  • Noise: constant above 85dcb with vibration
  • Working with machinery with moving parts
  • Occasionally work with grease and oils, hands in water, alone, and more than 40 hours
