KMK Law is in search of a Legal Assistant to join our Business Group. Provide administrative support for attorneys in the firm’s Business practice group.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepares documents at the direction of attorneys, including correspondence and forms required for new entities (corporations, limited liability companies, etc.).
Manages telephone calls and responds to inquiries.
Establishes and maintains office files, electronically and in paper.
Enters billable time and prepares bills for clients.
Provides assistance in preparation for and closing of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
Proofreads and corrects prepared materials.
Open, sorts, and logs mail.
Calendars appointments and due dates.
Prepares closing binders; completes other tasks as necessary for corporate practice.
Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Intermediate computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office.
Experience with document management systems a plus.
Attention to detail. Customer service orientation.
Law firm experience a plus.
May lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
