About the role
Job TitleHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with the Transportation Supervisor, Dispatcher and Driver to assure safe and reliable service to eligible students.
Works with passengers, parents and school personnel to provide proper service.
Receives and applies specialized training to deal with specific health or physical concerns of assigned passengers.
Reports any unsafe conditions on the bus and works with the Driver and Supervisor/Dispatchers to correct conditions.
Advises Supervisor/Dispatchers on matters related to employee working conditions and student disciplinary matters.
Maintains accurate time records and reports all extra time on the timecard.
Assists driver in maintaining clean conditions of special needs vehicle.
Follows department rules and guidelines to assure appropriate service to the District.
Reports any information regarding the safety and well being of passengers, students, school personnel and fellow employees to the appropriate Supervisor and/or Administrator in a timely manner.
Makes recommendations to the appropriate Administrators for the improvement of services.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
