About the role
Soldering Technician Join a precision manufacturer that builds custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and box builds for complex electronic and electro-mechanical products. In this role, you'll take assemblies from start to finish and build skills across a wide range of assembly techniques. It's a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to Production Assembler Lead once you're proficient in every task.
Responsibilities:
Solder PC boards, connectors, and wire terminations to IPC workmanship standards, using microscopes for fine detail work.
Build cable and wire harness assemblies from start to finish, including wire cutting, crimping, stuffing, heat shrink, potting, backshelling, and labeling.
Use work orders, blueprints, and sample assemblies to complete box builds, kitting, and harness board setups.
Perform continuity testing and pin extraction to confirm every assembly meets quality requirements.
Create wire lists and support the Quality Management System (QMS) and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, plus basic computer skills.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 / IPC-620 standards. Must be able to use soldering irons, long nose pliers, side cutters, and microscopes, read blueprints, tell wire colors apart, and verify measurements accurately.
Able to sit at a workstation for long periods, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and do close-vision, detailed hand work.
Preferred: J-STD-001 certification 12 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
