The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a unified operating model for a team of technical sales professionals with deep expertise in various domains. This includes assessing the current technical sales talent, developing a skills framework, and owning the strategy and performance of the team. The role is pivotal in reducing sales cycle friction, improving deal velocity, and ensuring the team is aligned with the company's core sales metrics. The VP will also be a key partner to the sales leadership team, bringing market, competitive, and data insight to drive strategic decision-making. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or solution architecture leadership, preferably in B2B SaaS within a regulated industry. The role requires a proven track record in building or restructuring a technical sales function, deep technical fluency in APIs, system integrations, and complex software ecosystems, and the ability to hold a team accountable to consistent performance metrics. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional people leader, capable of acquiring, developing, and retaining top technical sales talent, and will have experience in partnering with People and Finance functions on organizational design and compensation planning.
