About the role
- Lead architectural documentation from concept through construction
- Produce and review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Coordinate consultants, technical details, and interdisciplinary workflows
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and construction administration, including site visits
- Support project managers with scheduling, coordination, and project tracking
- Use Revit and BIM tools for documentation and coordination
- Integrate sustainable/resilient design principles and contribute to internal quality control
- Communicate with clients and consultants and mentor junior staff
- Experience and Qualifications5–10 years of professional architecture experience
- Professional degree in Architecture; licensure or active pursuit preferredExperience across design development, construction documents, and construction administration
- Strong experience with traditional architectural design, rigorous detailing, and renovation/adaptive reuse of historic structures
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with strong experience integrating both workflows
- Experience with consultant coordination, scheduling, and project management; Microsoft Project is a plus
- Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable/resilient design
- Knowledge of DC Building, Energy, and Green Codes and FAR regulations
- Institutional, civic, or complex urban projects preferredExperience with federal clients such as GSA, USACE, AOC, or NPS is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
