About the role

The ideal candidate will have: 5+ years estimating experience for a homebuilder and will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. In-depth knowledge o residential construction estimating practices, materials, and processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Review architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work to develop detailed, accurate cost estimates for homebuilding projects.
  • Communicate estimate assumptions, risks, and variances clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all estimates meet company quality standards and are delivered within agreed project timelines
  • Utilize AI as a tool to enhance your work, while remaining open to learning, applying critical thinking, and owning the quality of your final work
  • Validate, correct, and refine AI-generated estimates against plans, historical cost data, and current market pricing.
  • Identify recurring errors or gaps in AI estimate outputs and provide structured feedback to improve model accuracy over time.
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans 1 - 3 years' of construction experience preferred
