About the role
Construction Specialist Join SERVPRO of Douglasville/Carrollton/Troup-Coweta Counties as a Construction Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in restoring properties to their former glory. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate property damage to determine the scope of construction work needed.
- Educate customer on the construction process
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide project updates.
- Utilize tools and equipment safely and efficiently for construction tasks.
- Document project progress and report any issues to management.
- Assist in training new team members on construction best practices.
- Ensure that estimates meet client requirements
- Create an accurate sketch of project
- Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades
- Deliver and communicate estimate to Construction Manager
- Work with outside resources as necessary to complete accurate estimate (i.e. Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors, etc)
- Work with Construction Manager to price bid items.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant construction certifications preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or restoration work.
Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
