About the role
About the Agency: An award-winning, creative marketing, advertising, and strategic communications agency known for delivering high-impact work for their client. Their team thrives on collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to excellence. With a strong presence in the travel, hospitality, and entertainment space, they support global brands across high-volume, fast-paced campaign environments where creativity and execution must move at speed.
The Role:
Seeking an Art Director with strong advertising agency experience. This individual will play a key role in developing high-quality, on-brand creative across print and digital channels, supporting a wide range of campaigns—particularly within travel, hospitality, and lifestyle clients. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative leader who loves both concepting and execution. You’ll help shape the visual direction of campaigns, mentor creative talent, collaborate with internal teams and external production partners, and ensure every touchpoint delivers thoughtful, compelling, and brand-right creative. The ideal candidate has a strong agency or in-house creative background, an exceptional design eye, and the ability to take an idea from initial concept through final production. You should be equally comfortable brainstorming with a creative team, designing hands-on in Adobe Creative Suite, directing a photoshoot, and presenting a fully developed campaign to senior stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and mentor creative team members, designers, and creative interns while fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment. Develop big-picture campaign concepts and integrated creative ideas that build brands and tell compelling stories. Remain hands-on throughout the creative process, from initial concepting and design exploration through final production-ready execution. Establish the visual direction, tone, look, and feel for campaigns across digital, social, video, print, experiential, and other integrated channels. Partner with copywriters, designers, strategists, account teams, and other stakeholders to brainstorm and develop innovative creative solutions. Create and oversee digital and social creative, ensuring concepts are optimized for individual platforms and audience behaviors. Develop original content and campaign assets from concept through completion, including social content, digital advertising, video, experiential activations, and branded experiences. Build polished, visually compelling presentations that clearly communicate creative concepts and strategic thinking to clients and senior leadership. Present creative ideas with confidence and effectively articulate the thinking and strategy behind the work. Manage and provide creative direction to outside partners, including photographers, videographers, animators, production teams, and merchandise/apparel vendors. Participate in and provide creative direction for photoshoots and content productions. Ensure creative consistently adheres to established brand standards while identifying opportunities to evolve or develop new visual guidelines when appropriate. Stay ahead of emerging design trends, social platforms, technology, AI, storytelling techniques, and new opportunities for brands to connect with audiences. Balance multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a consistently high standard of creative execution.
Qualifications:
8–10+ years of Art Direction, Graphic Design, or integrated creative experience, ideally within an advertising agency, creative agency, digital agency, or sophisticated in-house creative department. A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and hands-on execution across integrated campaigns. Proven experience developing creative across digital, social media, advertising, video, print, and other brand touchpoints. Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor, motivate, and provide thoughtful creative direction to designers and junior team members. Exceptional conceptual, visual storytelling, typography, layout, and design skills. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Strong presentation skills and proficiency with Power Point, Google Slides, and/or Keynote. Experience developing and presenting campaign concepts to clients, executives, or senior stakeholders. Experience directing or participating in photoshoots and collaborating with photographers, videographers, animators, and other production partners. Strong understanding of social media creative best practices and how creative, strategy, media, and analytics work together. Ability to translate brand strategy into distinctive creative concepts while maintaining consistency across channels. Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines. Collaborative, positive, proactive, and comfortable both leading a team and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
