About the role

CNC Programmer / Machinist We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will read technical blueprints, develop precise G-code/M-code programs, set up multi-station CNC machinery (mills/lathes), and ensure parts meet strict dimensional tolerances. You will work closely with our quality assurance team to deliver flawless precision components. Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming: Develop, optimize, and edit G-code and CAD/CAM programs (Mastercam or equivalent) for multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers. Machine Setup & Operation: Set up tooling, fixtures, work offsets, and parameters for prototype development and production runs. Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications. Process Optimization: Select optimal cutting tools, feeds, and speeds to maximize productivity while preserving tool life and part quality. Quality Assurance: Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM) to uphold our low-rejection standards. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot programming or mechanical issues on the shop floor. Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace adhering to shop safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and setup in a precision machining environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in G-code/M-code programming and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or SolidWorks).Equipment Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines and lathes. Blueprint & GD&T: Proficient in reading engineering blueprints and applying GD&T standards. Quality Focus: Meticulous attention to detail with experience performing self-inspections using precision measuring tools.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational certification or Associate degree in Precision Machining/Manufacturing Technology is preferred.
