Admissions Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee all inquiries, admissions, and discharges while supporting accurate census reporting
- Coordinate the entire admissions process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Communicate with nursing, the business office, and external referral sources to coordinate admissions and bed availability
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, case managers, and referral partners to support census growth
- Evaluate referrals and assist with admission decisions
- Maintain accurate census, referral, admission, and discharge data
- Monitor admissions activity, referral trends, and discharge planning while providing reports as requested
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, families, and referral sources throughout the admissions process
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous admissions experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
- Positive, energetic, and customer-focused attitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Basic computer proficiency
