About the role

Assistant Project ManagerA NY/Long Island area based Assistant Project Manager with 3-5 years of experience in residential construction, and proficiency in all construction paperwork including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, Change Orders and meeting minutes.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day project activities as an assistant to the assigned Project Manager from pre-construction to project closeout
  • Assist in the creation and managing of the project budget, and create and maintain project schedule throughout the life of a project
  • Constructing weekly site meeting agendas, supporting project meetings, submitting project minutes, and reporting daily/weekly construction reports with clients and internal team
  • Establishing and executing job processes: Change Orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications (including approving and negotiating subcontractors' pay applications), managing the purchase and selections of materials, updating the project schedule
  • Manage drawing logs with a full understanding of each set of plans/blueprints and how it pertains to each specific job
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Clear communicator, detail-oriented, organized and highly motivated
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and results-driven team environment
This is a remote position but travel to local NYC and Long Island area sites several days a week will be necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience but generally in the range of 70K - 90K.
