About the role

We’re hiring: eCommerce Growth Consultant Remote | Contract | $200–$300 per session The Scale Codes is a coaching and education company helping eCommerce founders build the marketing strategies and systems behind consistent revenue. We support early-stage founders building their foundations, business owners experiencing inconsistent sales, and founders whose revenue depends on their daily involvement. We’re looking for an experienced eCommerce consultant who can identify what’s limiting a brand’s growth, explain what needs to change, and help founders put the right strategies into practice.
THE OPPORTUNITY: You’ll lead approximately two-hour virtual group coaching sessions covering growth strategy, website conversion, customer journeys, and retention. You’ll work within our framework. Members also have access to proprietary AI tools that help them execute. Your role is to provide the judgment, feedback, and strategic direction that helps them use those resources effectively. This engagement may begin with one session per week, with opportunities for additional sessions as demand grows. You’ll propose your availability, and we’ll coordinate session times around your schedule and member needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Lead practical group coaching sessions, business reviews, and Q&A.
  • Diagnose growth challenges and help founders prioritize their next steps.
  • Review Shopify websites, product pages, messaging, offers, and purchase journeys.
  • Advise on pricing, margins, average order value, and conversion improvements.
  • Help members understand their business metrics and make informed decisions.
  • Guide email/SMS fundamentals, customer follow-up, repeat purchases, and retention.
  • Review work created with our AI tools and help members adapt it to their brands.
  • Answer relevant client questions in the group channel and direct messages within an agreed support scope.
  • Save useful answers to recurring questions in our shared resource library.
  • Coordinate with our brand/content and paid acquisition specialists to keep recommendations aligned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Demonstrated experience growing eCommerce brands as a consultant, founder, operator, or growth strategist.
  • Strong working knowledge of Shopify, conversion rate optimization, offers, customer journeys, and email/SMS marketing.
  • The ability to use business data to identify problems and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience advising, coaching, or teaching business owners.
  • Confidence supporting founders at different stages of growth.
  • Clear, supportive communication and the ability to make complex topics understandable.
  • Willingness to learn our framework and proprietary AI tools. Experience with Klaviyo and AI-assisted marketing workflows is a plus. ENGAGEMENT & COMPENSATION
  • $200–$300 per approximately two-hour session, depending on experience and agreed scope.
  • Contract engagement, paid per session, with no monthly retainer.
  • Initial 30-day trial engagement.
  • Potentially one session weekly, with additional opportunities as demand grows.
  • Light preparation and a defined allowance for between-session client support included in the agreed scope.
  • Client questions answered within 24 hours on weekdays, excluding weekends and holidays.
  • Flexible scheduling coordinated in advance.
HOW TO APPLY: Send your résumé or professional background and a brief introduction covering:
  • The types of eCommerce brands you’ve worked with.
  • One or two examples of measurable results, including your specific contribution.
  • Your experience consulting, teaching, or leading group sessions.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
