About the role
To support accurate local election coverage, the full-time remote Local Expansion Staff Researcher will conduct research and outreach to gather official election documents, ingest data into the database, and monitor changes in election calendars.
Key responsibilities:
Research reliable sources and conduct outreach to gather official election documents for local contests
Process and ingest election and candidate data into the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Monitor changes to election schedules and maintain databases to enhance the quality of election coverage
Required qualifications:
Passion for elections and commitment to providing neutral, fact-based coverage
Excellent research skills with the ability to locate and organize information effectively
Resourcefulness and curiosity to investigate and communicate findings beyond existing processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize complex concepts accurately
Experience using tools such as Google Chrome, Docs, and Sheets for data management
