CNC Mill / Lathe (Turning) Machinist - Mazak | 1st ShiftLocation: Bensenville, IL Pay: Up to $40/hour (Higher compensation considered for exceptional candidates) Join a Growing Precision Machining TeamWe are seeking an experienced CNC Mill / Lathe (Turning) Machinist to join our first-shift machining team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled CNC professional who enjoys challenging, high-mix machining work and takes pride in producing precision components with minimal supervision. This is not a production operator position-we're looking for a true A-player who can independently perform complex setups, troubleshoot machining issues, and work confidently in a fast-paced job shop environment.

What You'll Do: Set up and operate Mazak CNC turning centers. Program and edit using Mazatrol and G-codePerform complete machine setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments. Utilize live tooling to machine complex precision components. Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements. Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform multiple changeovers throughout the day in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment. Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate with teammates to meet production and quality goals.

Qualifications: Required 5+ years of CNC machining experience. Extensive experience with Mazak CNC turning centersStrong proficiency with both Mazatrol and G-codeAbility to independently perform complete machine setups. Experience with live tooling and complex turning operations. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge. Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers. Stable work history with demonstrated reliability. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. PreferredExperience with DMG Mori or Haas equipment. Mastercam programming experience. Experience working in a high-mix job shop environment. Experience running both mills and lathes. Ability to mentor or assist less experienced machinists.
