About the role
Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.• Experience with chemical etching, electroforming, and/or laser processing in manufacturing.• Strong knowledge of chemical and electrochemical manufacturing principles.• Experience with process analysis, troubleshooting, and data-driven problem solving. Ability to communicate effectively in cross-functional environments.
Nice to Have:
Skills & Experience• Wet-process, microfabrication, plating, or electroforming manufacturing experience.• Knowledge of electrochemistry, current density/distribution, contamination control, filtration, additives, and bath chemistry.• Photoresist processing experience (surface prep, exposure, development, stripping).• SPC, DOE, root-cause analysis, yield improvement, and process control methodologies.• Experience diagnosing plating, deposit, and process defects.• Writing SOPs, process specifications, and control plans.• Production floor support and technician/operator leadership.• Nickel sulfamate plating, resist molds, dry-film or liquid photoresists, and mandrel-release processes.• Bath analysis methods including titration, ICP, or atomic absorption.• Capital equipment implementation, automation, process transfer, or scale-up.• Experience in ISO 9001, aerospace, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Industry certifications or advanced electroplating/electroforming training.

Job Overview:
Process Engineer responsible for developing and optimizing chemical etching, electroforming, and laser manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, efficiency, and production scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize chemical etching, electroforming, and laser processing operations.• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement process improvements.• Analyze process data to improve performance, quality, and cost.• Design and validate experiments, equipment settings, and process parameters.• Support production scale-up and process transfers.• Maintain process documentation and ensure regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance. Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.
