About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Millwright Project Managerto manage industrial construction, machinery installation, rigging, and millwright projects from planning through completion.
This individual will coordinate field operations, manpower, equipment, schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage industrial millwright and machinery installation projects from mobilization through closeout.
Coordinate machinery installation, relocation, assembly, alignment, and equipment setting.
Plan and coordinate rigging operations and heavy equipment movement.
Manage project schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Review drawings, equipment layouts, specifications, scopes of work, and installation requirements.
Coordinate with clients, field supervisors, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades.
Track project costs, labor productivity, change orders, and overall project performance.
Procure and coordinate materials, equipment, cranes, and specialty services.
Identify and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, budget, or schedule.
Support field leadership with installation sequencing and daily project execution.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety requirements, and client standards.
Maintain project documentation, progress reports, schedules, and closeout information.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience inindustrial millwright, machinery installation, rigging, or heavy industrial construction.
Project management or field leadership experience within industrial construction.
Strong knowledge of machinery installation, equipment setting, alignment, and rigging.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, equipment layouts, and specifications.
Experience managing project schedules, manpower, subcontractors, and materials.
Strong understanding of industrial jobsite safety.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Degreee in construction management, engineering, or similar. Candidates may substitute years of expereince for education depending upon the total time spent in the same position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in manufacturing and heavy industrial facilities.
Experience with machinery foundations, structural concrete, press pits, excavation, and equipment installation.
Experience estimating or developing scopes and change orders.
OSHA 30 certification.
Rigging & Signal certification or equivalent training.
Experience coordinating cranes and heavy-haul operations.
