Position Summary: The New Jersey School of Architecture (NJSOA) of the J. Robert and Barbara A. Hillier College of Architecture and Design (HCAD) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member. We seek an accomplished architect and educator with a strong research agenda that integrates architectural design with emerging technologies, including areas related to building construction and sustainability. The successful candidate will teach design studios, core courses, and electives while developing a research agenda that strengthens the School's position within an Institute of Technology and R1 research university. Candidates must hold a Master's in Architecture or a Bachelor's in Architecture with a Master's degree in related fields, as well as a professional architectural license and/or a Ph.D. degree in architecture or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have teaching experience in studio and core courses, such as building construction and professional practice. Applicants are encouraged to apply by December 1, 2026. The position will remain open until filled. NJSOA is one of the largest architecture schools in the United States. Our college awards degrees in architecture, urban design, interior, industrial, and digital design. HCAD is one of six colleges/schools at NJIT, a public R-1 research university.
