About the role
Our client is a VC-backed Series A fintech that is looking to hire an FP&A Manager to support the VP of Finance. The FP&A Manager will build the function, own the model, and help leadership understand how capital and debt move through the business. What you will own Own the company's financial model, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning scenarios, with a high bar for accuracy, cash flow, and liquidity logic. Lead monthly and quarterly budget vs. actuals, partnering with department heads to understand and manage spend. Dive into recovery performance, CAC and LTV, payback periods, and margins across creditor partners, and turn them into actionable insights. Model and monitor the economics of the debt book across its full lifecycle, acquisition and inflows, servicing, warehouse facility lines, and recoveries and outflows, so leadership sees how capital and debt actually move. Partner on pricing, resource allocation, and contract modeling for new business. Contribute to board and investor materials, translating numbers into narrative.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA a plus.5-plus years across FP&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, or a high-growth tech finance team.
Exceptional financial modeling. You can build a clean, fully linked three-statement model from a blank sheet, stress the cash flow, and catch the risks before leadership does.
A real working understanding of how debt operates, how it comes in, how it is serviced, and how it flows back out.
Comfort with ambiguity and a build-from-scratch mindset.
Experience with operating expense forecasting, budget ownership, and month-end close in support of strategic decisions.
Advanced Excel and modeling skills. NetSuite and FP&A tools a plus.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
