About the role

OBJECTIVES: This role is focused on conducting cell based assays to support preclinical and clinical stage small molecule anti-inflammatory programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Biology, the ideal candidate will have a range of skills and be open to learning new techniques to answer key biological questions. The colleague will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate that enjoys working in a highly focused, collaborative and fast-paced team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: ·      Being part of a team focused on executing SOPs in primary immune cells to move projects forward·      Knowledge of immunology and cellular biology is preferred·      Familiarity with cellular and molecular biology assays, including ELISA, HTRF and flow cytometry·      Outstanding organizational skills and experience in preparing scientific and technical documents including detailed protocols ·      Experience using data analysis programs such as Prism, Excel, Flow Jo·      Document and deliver high-quality data in a time-efficient manner ·      Comfortable presenting data at internal review meetings EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ·      A minimum of a BS in Biology or related discipline with 2+ years direct experience in an industry environment·      Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)  experience is preferred·      Willingness to work in a dynamic and changing environment·      High level of motivation to consistently execute SOPs developed by the team·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ·      Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.)   ·      Carrying, handling and reaching for objects (up to 25 lbs)·      Onsite office, lab environment Further Information: Trotana is a biotechnology company based in San Diego.
