About the role

The National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Mass., is looking for a new full-time Music Director. Music is an integral aspect of each and every Mass, and we have a need to employ someone to uphold and implement elements of the Catholic liturgy. This role is currently vacant, and it is our hope to place someone in this role who is not only an experienced organist and can sing, but who can also develop a strong music program at our Shrine. We hope to find candidates with a vision and gift for leading our congregation in liturgical music, and the ability to build a strong choir. Music Performance Work with the Rector to select music for Masses and events on Eden Hill. Supervise and coordinate music activities involving all Shrine musicians. Develop a small choir. (4-5 members) Prepare choir for occasional anthems and hymns during the Sunday 10 a.m. service and other. Administration Maintain an organized library of sheet music. Work with the Rector and volunteers to develop musical schedules, calendars and details for weekly service bulletins and newsletter. Work with the Rector to maintain organ, piano, and other instruments. Schedule appropriate tuning and other maintenance as required. Ensure that copyright laws are being followed. Pay Range $52,000.00 - $85,800.00 per year
